No words are adequate for such grief but please know you are in my every prayer.

What a beautiful service honoring your precious little guy. We feel honored to have been a part of his life and your lives. Our hearts are broken for you all. Emmy, Brandon, Alisha, Martin, Mason, Daren & Sammy and Paul & Sherri – you are daily in our prayers, on our minds and in our hearts. Praise God for Carter’s love of Jesus and the comfort that may bring you all.

The service was truly amazing! You raised an amazing child…one that makes me want to be better and do more for others. I hope each day gets a little easier for you. You are in my every thought and prayer.

I frequently talk about how my children have, “The Fire” inside of them. It is something magical and powerful that can’t be taught, and is certainly not inside of everybody. After the service for Carter, I became convinced that Mason himself certainly has The Fire.
Mason, I was absolutely blown away at how impressive you were. I have experienced some pretty difficult things in my life, but nothing remotely close to what you are going through. Like you, I have so many questions right now, but one thing I do not question is your Mother saying she wanted Carter to grow up to be like you. It is easy to see why.
You truly have something special inside of you and while you certainly have a long and difficult journey ahead, I know you will make it through and you will keep that fire lit. As you know, I had the privilege of watching you and Carter interact on numerous occasions, and I saw the look of admiration he had in his eyes for you. He was right to admire you.
